The Weston Senior Activities Center, with its inviting renovated spaces, is located at the South House of Hurlbutt Elementary School at 9 School Road. The center is open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. year-round except for the July 4th week. It is also closed during school holidays and on days the schools are closed or have delayed openings due to inclement weather or emergencies.

The center sponsors programs and events ranging from senior lunches to strength and fitness training, yoga, and Tai Chi and from current events and other discussion groups to a variety of classes, lectures, games, field trips, and more. There is a brown-bag café, where everyone is welcome to bring their own lunch, make new friends, and/or play cards. Residents are encouraged to drop in as well as to attend specific activities such as the weekly movie.

The senior center sponsors a weekly senior luncheon held on Wednesdays from September through May at the Norfield Church Parish Hall at noon, preceded by a coffee hour that starts at 11.  Following lunch, Bingo is held on the first Wednesday of the month; in other weeks there is musical entertainment. Lunches are held at other venues from June through August.

Dial-A-Ride offers door to door transportation to the center and to senior luncheons. A 24-hour advance phone reservation for this service is required; call 203-222-2576.

For more information, call the Center Director Wendy Petty or Program Coordinator Pamela Wilson at 203-222-2608, or drop by.
